Still Quaker Crazy - Columbus Lost - David C. Hunter
$14.00
Now retired after 50 years devoted to public education in Southern California, David Hunter has written a second memoir about the Salem Quakers basketball team from 1958–1960.
The first book, Love Those Quakers: The Road to Columbus, detailed the near-mythical run of the Salem Quakers to the Ohio high school state championship game in Columbus during his junior year. The 1958–59 team’s performance on the court made it the most celebrated team in the history of Salem boys basketball.
The second memoir (much shorter by design) picks up the Love Those Quakers craziness that carried over to the 1959–60 team, his senior year. The author’s aim is to shine a light on this star-crossed Quaker team that, in his mind, deserves special praise and recognition.
